Welcome to the Emily Dickinson Museum!
The Homestead, where poet Emily Dickinson was born and lived most of her life, and The Evergreens, home of the poet’s brother and his family, share three beautiful acres of the original Dickinson property in the center of Amherst, Massachusetts.

In 2010, we’re open through the end of December, Wednesday–Sunday, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Extended Summer Hours June-August, Wednesday-Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The Museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Both houses are air conditioned for the summer!  Details »
