Leonore Alaniz is a botanical printmaker, textile designer, and teaching artist in the pioneer valley.  For over twenty years she has exhibited, taught and shared her enthusiasm with individuals and groups, believing that “right relationship” with the plant kingdom gives peace of mind and joy. Her Nature Printing captures anatomical details of natural objects, some of them invisible to the naked eye. Bridging art and science, she adapts and invents low-tech methods to coax to the surface the details of each specimen. The results enchant the doer and the onlooker, the expert and novice of all ages.
